Changes in the lifestyles of female college students, particularly regarding junk food consumption, have the potential to affect blood sugar levels. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between junk food consumption habits and random blood sugar levels among female students at Politeknik Piksi Ganesha. An observational analytic method with a cross-sectional design was employed, involving 30 respondents selected via purposive sampling. Data on junk food consumption were obtained using a Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ), while blood sugar levels were measured using the Point of Care Testing (POCT) method. Data were analyzed using Fisher’s Exact Test. The results showed that 50% of respondents consumed junk food frequently and 50% infrequently, with the majority (86.7%) exhibiting normal blood sugar levels. Statistical analysis yielded a p-value of 0.100 (p > 0.05), indicating no significant relationship. However, a descriptive trend toward higher blood sugar levels was observed in the frequent consumption group. It is concluded that while no significant relationship was found, junk food consumption should still be limited to prevent metabolic disorders.
